How the hero system works

In Anime Stars, Heroes are your summon roster: you get them from Gacha rolls, raise them with star levels and evolve them. Because it's an incremental simulator, each Hero you keep climbs a ceiling through stars, evolves and Relics. Across the 2026 guide runs, the winning play is to pick a solid S- or A-tier carry, give it your best Relics first (found by exploring each island), and only then spend surplus on the rest of the roster — not to reroll endlessly for a single rare pull.

The real loop: get a Hero → star it up → evolve → equip Relics → clear worlds/islands for gems and gold → join a clan and run quests → use auto-farming to push further. Exact drop odds aren't developer-published, so every tier and rate here is marked community-reported until a dated official source exists.

How to pick your first Hero

Don't chase a single secret pull on your first rolls. A high-tier, versatile Hero you can star up today clears faster than a 'rare' you can't raise. Use a table like the one above to start the right carry, then spend your first gems on starring it and on a good Relic (the first island has one behind the castle) before burning the rest on more rolls.
